  Sometimes the best way to help a dog learn is to give them the opportunity to live the training.

  Our Aloha K9 Board & Train program combines professional dog training with a comfortable, structured boarding environment. While your dog stays with us, training becomes part of their everyday routine — not just a one-hour lesson.

  With individualized training sessions, structured exercise, mental enrichment, real-life practice and consistent expectations throughout the day, your dog has the opportunity to develop skills that can carry over into everyday life at home.

  What Does Board & Train Include?

  Our Board & Train program is designed around your individual dog and your training goals.

  Depending on your dog's needs, training may include:

  • Basic and advanced obedience

  • Leash manners and loose-leash walking

  • Place and impulse control

  • Reliable recall

  • Sit, down, stay and duration work

  • Crate and household manners

  • Calm behaviour and settling

  • Door and threshold manners

  • Focus and engagement

  • Environmental exposure

  • Distraction training

  • Confidence building

  • Real-life obedience

  • Mental enrichment and structured exercise

  Your dog will receive approximately 2–3 hours of dedicated training each day, along with opportunities to practice those skills naturally throughout their daily routine.

  More Than Just Training Sessions

  One of the biggest advantages of Board & Train is that your dog isn't simply learning a command during a scheduled lesson and then returning to their normal routine.

  They are learning how to make good choices throughout the day.

  Training can be incorporated into walks, play, feeding, transitions, settling, crate time and everyday interactions. This allows us to work on the behaviours that matter when you're actually living life with your dog.

  Individualized Training

  Every dog is different.

  Before beginning a Board & Train program, we discuss your dog's history, personality, current skills and the goals you would like to accomplish. This allows us to create a training approach specifically suited to your dog.

  Our programs are not a "one size fits all" boot camp.

  We take the time to understand why your dog is struggling and what they need to succeed.

  7-Day Foundation Board & Train

  $1,850

  An intensive introduction to structure, communication and obedience for dogs who need a jump-start on their training.

  14-Day Intensive Board & Train

  $3,500

  Our most popular option and the ideal choice for owners looking for a more comprehensive training experience.

  Your dog receives an immersive two-week training experience with approximately 2–3 hours of dedicated training each day, along with ongoing practice and structured routines throughout their stay.

  21-Day Advanced Board & Train

  $5,000

  For dogs who would benefit from additional time to develop reliability, consistency and confidence in a variety of environments and distractions.

  Behaviour Modification Board & Train

  Starting at $4,200

  Dogs dealing with more complex behavioural concerns — such as significant reactivity, anxiety, aggression, resource guarding or other challenging behaviours — require a more individualized approach.

  These programs are assessed on a case-by-case basis and may require additional management, planning and training time.

  Behaviour Modification programs begin at $4,200 for 14 days.

  The Training Doesn't End When You Go Home

  One of the most important parts of Board & Train is teaching you how to continue the work.

  Your program includes a go-home training session where we review the skills your dog has learned and show you how to maintain those behaviours at home.

  Because the goal isn't to create a dog who listens perfectly to a trainer.

  The goal is to help create a dog who can listen to YOU.

  We will provide guidance, practical exercises and recommendations to help you continue building on your dog's progress after they return home.
